Professor Michal Křížek is a renowned numerical analyst and a distinguished expert in
computational mathematics, number theory, and even astrophysics. His achievements
include constructions of divergence-free finite element basis functions, superconvergence
results, analysis of maximum angle conditions, simplicial partitions in arbitrary dimensions, results about Fermat numbers, gravitational aberration and the dark energy, etc.
His professional career is closely connected with the Institute of Mathematics and we
are happy to host the conference on the occasion of his 60th birthday here.
